This spring, as part of the BeWoP project, two èStoriaBus events have already been successfully held.
The first excursion of the year took place on March 23, 2025, and focused on the cross-border region of Goriška Brda (It. Collio), covering both the Slovenian and Italian sides. Around 50 participants joined the day-long cultural and historical journey. The program began with introductory remarks by speakers Stefano Cosma and Tanja Gomiršek, followed by visits to Villa Codelli in Mossa and the medieval wine cellars of Spessa Castle. A highlight of the morning was a stop at the enotheque in Cormons, where guests sampled a variety of local wines, cured meats, and cheeses, enjoying the region’s rich gastronomic heritage. In the afternoon, the group explored the picturesque village of Šmartno, visited local museums, the Church of the Holy Cross in Kojsko, and concluded the day with a toast at Formentini Castle.
The April èStoriaBus BeWoP took place this past weekend, on April 13, 2025, and brought participants on a trip through places that still bear the memory of the resistance movement and Nazi-Fascist occupation.
In Palmanova, the Piave Barracks shared stories of captivity and deportation, while in Ljubljana, participants walked the Path of Remembrance and Comradeship, which traces the line where the city was once surrounded by barbed wire.
The next èStoriaBus is scheduled for May 31, with more information about the program to be announced soon.
