We invite you to visit the redesigned website www.bike-alpeadria.eu to get ideas for leisure activities on two wheels and discover some of the cycle routes in the cross-border area from the Alps to the Adriatic. You can choose between sections of the Adriabike route (Kranjska Gora-Ravenna), the Emerald Green Road through the Soča Valley, part of The road of the Serenissima, the Parenzana in Slovenian Istria, the Ciclovia Alpe-Adria Radweg Route (Salzburg-Grado), the cross-border cycling network of the Goriška region. Or you may also decide to visit one of the cycling destinations the Soča Valley, Cerkljansko, Vipava Valley, Karst and Brkini, Slovenian Istria and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Each route or area is presented on an interactive map with an elevation profile based on the Ride with GPS app, showing the type of terrain, detailed route descriptions, photos, it enables also file export for navigation devices. Routes can be selected by length, gradient, substrate, location, ...
The subpage Bike route – Welcome provides information on the recently launched Alpina Mediterranean Cycle Route, linking Friuli, Western Slovenia and Kvarner. The cycle route is divided into six stages, offering a total of 300 kilometres of cycling from the pre-Alpine world, through the Soča Valley, the Karst and Brkini to Opatija in Croatia.
