The AI-GRAPE project will be presented at the international olive oil fair Olio Capitale, which annually brings together olive growers, researchers and experts from the olive sector. Within the framework of the fair, a professional event will take place on 14 March 2026 in Trieste, focusing on current challenges in olive cultivation and innovative approaches to managing olive groves in the context of climate change.
The event will highlight the use of digital technologies, predictive models and artificial intelligence to improve plant protection, optimise agronomic practices and support stable production, quality and productivity in olive growing. Representatives of research institutions, professional organisations and project partners will present current research activities and practical examples of the application of innovative technological solutions.
Special attention will be given to the experiences of the AI-GRAPE and OLIVETO-SMART projects, which are developing innovative digital approaches for plant health monitoring, decision-support systems and sustainable management of olive groves in the cross-border area.
