The second event of POSEIDONE: Biodiversity and Territories on Stage, as a preview of the International Day of Forests (21 March 2025), combines storytelling, theatre, and memory to promote active reflection on territorial transformations and the importance of environmental conservation.

With the involvement of authors, artists, and scholars, the initiative offers a unique opportunity to explore the deep connection between landscape, identity, and sustainability, encouraging the audience to imagine a more conscious and responsible future.

This new event is part of the second edition of Ambient’Azione in Porto, a festival established in 2024 in Portogruaro, in the province of Venice, through the collaboration of various local associations with the goal of raising community awareness on environmental and social sustainability issues.

The event programme, scheduled for Saturday, 15 March 2025, will take place in the VeGAL Conference Room and will focus on the theme of landscape and memory through the presentation of two books published by Ediciclo.

At 11:00 AM, the debate "Narrated Landscapes: Dialogues between Memory and Identity" will feature Elisa Cozzarini, author of Gli Intrecci del Fiume – Piccole trame in equilibrio variabile (Ediciclo, 2024), and Carlo Rubini, author of Microcosmi e Paesaggi: Geonarrazioni a Nordest (Ediciclo, 2023). The discussion will be moderated by Ivano Marcorin from Legambiente, with readings by the Belfurt Unarmed Group. The discussion will offer a reflection on the landscape as an element of cultural and environmental identity, exploring the relationship between memory and territory through the personal experiences of the authors. Cozzarini narrates the river as a place of passion and exploration, while Rubini presents a geographical and narrative journey through Northeast Italy, examining the relationship between humans and the ever-evolving environment.

Following this, at 12:30 PM, in the ex-Perfosfati square, the theatrical performance "The Last City – Welcome to Tejilana" will be staged, curated by the Belfurt Unarmed Group. A show that imagines a world where the only remaining material is fabric, a grotesque and poetic metaphor for the relationship between humans and natural resources.

Participants will also be able to see the work on the municipal garden, which is being regenerated thanks to the POSEIDONE project, dedicated to the protection of biodiversity. Bilingualism in Italian and Slovenian will be provided if required.
