The CRISAFE project, with a full name Critical Infrastructure Early Warning System and Population Awareness for Multi-Hazard Cascading Events, represents one of the initiatives within the UCP Knowledge Network aimed at enhancing resilience against complex emergencies.
On June 5th, 2025, partners from CRISAFE joined forces with the IN4SAFETY project during a technical coordination session held in Gorizia, Italy. The meeting served as an important platform to explore potential synergies between the two projects, focusing on critical infrastructure protection, seismic risk management, and cross-border emergency coordination.
The session emphasized sharing methodologies, identifying opportunities for interoperability, and promoting joint strategies to address cascading risks triggered by seismic events. This collaborative approach underpins the growing importance of integrated civil protection efforts in cross-border regions vulnerable to natural disasters.
Following the discussions, participants observed the GOin4SAFETY large-scale cross-border civil protection field exercise, further strengthening practical cooperation between partners from different countries and agencies.
This cooperation highlights the shared commitment to enhancing preparedness and response capabilities for multi-hazard scenarios, fostering safer communities across borders.
