On Wednesday, February 4th, Thursday, February 12th, and Friday, February 20th, three joint cross-border workshops (WP3) were held online. They were organized by the partner CJVT of the Faculty of Computer and Information Science at the University of Ljubljana, in collaboration with all project partners. The introductory workshop (held on the Zoom platform on January 22nd) was dedicated to the presentation of the CrossTerm project – Cross-border standardization of institutional terminology – and its results, specifically the terminological glossaries and the online terminology tool.
The meeting on February 4th provided an opportunity to present, in addition to the project's guidelines and goals, a demo of the portal and an overview of its background. Subsequently, the linguistic resources of the Centralni urad za slovenski jezik AD FJK - Ufficio centrale per la lingua slovena della RA FVG were presented, and the terminological work carried out by the CrossTerm group in the field of urban planning was illustrated. The workshop concluded with the presentation of the list of selected terms, including the motivation for the linguistic solutions adopted.
On the occasion of the meeting on February 12th, the CAN Costiera, together with CJVT, illustrated the results of the activities carried out regarding the standardization of terminology in the field of labor law.
The fourth joint cross-border workshop (WP3), held on February 20th, featured the presentation by the partner Agjenzie regjonâl pe lenghe furlane (ARLeF) of the results of the work carried out in the field of legal-administrative terminology.
The platform presented at each online workshop is a trial version that will be further improved in the coming months. Users are invited to try it out and send suggestions regarding the content as well as proposals for technical improvements.
The partners and the audience participated actively in all the online workshops.
