The DAIRY+ project – Shared circular bioeconomy approaches for the valorisation of dairy supply chain by-products is approaching completion. On 9 March 2026, partners met for the final project meeting before the definitive closure of the project, scheduled for August 2026.
The meeting was held at Casa dei Racconti (Via Formighè 1053, Ceggia - VE) from 10.00 to 13.00, hosted by the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie (IZSVe).

The meeting represented a crucial moment to coordinate final activities and define the last deliverables before completion. On the agenda:
● Management and final report – progress status and administrative closure (PRC)
● Policy paper – recommendations for institutions on the valorisation of dairy by-products (IZSVe)
● Handbook for operators – operational tool for small and medium-sized enterprises in the sector (IZSVe)
● Feasibility study – technical analysis (UNIUD, IML-PRO, IZSVe), economic analysis (FAB FVG, UNITS) and Life-cycle assessment (UL) on whey valorisation processes
● Communication and final event – planning of the project's closing event (FAB FVG)
Towards DAIRY+ closure
With this fifth and final meeting, DAIRY+ officially entered its concluding phase. The project will leave the cross-border dairy sector a legacy of knowledge, technologies, operational tools and best practices for the circular valorisation of by-products.
In the coming months, final results will be presented through technical documents, policy papers and the project's closing event, which will represent an opportunity to share with stakeholders, institutions and sector operators what has been achieved within DAIRY+.
