The poetry anthology “Via degli Amori” by Pier Paolo Pasolini was presented to the public in a new bilingual edition (Italian and Slovenian) at an event on Friday 23 January 2026, at Cinemazero’s spazioZero space in Pordenone. The publication marks 80 years since the first publication.
The collection includes poems written by Pasolini in his youth and published posthumously, described by the author himself as “poetic approach” and “poems of his own childhood”. The text brings together works of fragment and lyric poetry relating to important places in his development, such as Idrija in Slovenia (where he lived between 1930 and 1931), Casarsa and Sacile. They explore themes such as maternal love, early sensory discoveries and his deep bond with water and the landscape.
The edition also includes prefaces by the anthology’s editor, Milanka Trušnovec, and additional experts Graziella Chiarcossi, Miklavž Komelj and Massimo Raffaeli, alongside a selection of the poet’s figurative works.
“Via degli Amori” is one of the many fruitful outcomes of the European project “4P – Cross-border Trails discovering the heritage of Piero Paolo Pasolini”, funded by the European Interreg Italy–Slovenia 2021–2027 programme.
