On Tuesday, 24 June 2025, a capacity-building workshop for tourism stakeholders was held at SuttoWine Noventa in Veneto as part of the AGROTUR+ project (Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia), entitled “Gastronomy as a Driver of Sustainable Tourism Development – from the Karst to Veneto”.
The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the importance of local products and their role in promoting sustainable tourism across the cross-border Karst area. Participants were also introduced to a good practice example from Veneto, showcasing how sustainable approaches and gastronomy can help develop a competitive local tourism offer.
The event brought together institutional representatives, tourism operators, artists, and producers, highlighting the growing interest in tourism models that are rooted in local resources and sustainability.
