The interest aroused by the workshop "Green tourism and heritage through strategic projects ADRIONCYCLETOUR, KRAS-CARSO II, POSEIDONE", held this morning in the framework of the "European Week of Regions and Cities" (EWRC), the week dedicated to the regions and cities of Europe organised every year in Brussels, was reflected in the excellent turnout and the general satisfaction expressed by the participants, reconfirming the importance of promoting the projects of the Programme area in Europe.
During the workshop, the Managing Authority and the Joint Secretariat presented the excellent results obtained in over 20 years of cross-border programming between Italy and Slovenia, as well as the prospects for the future. Also contributing to the success of the workshop were the three strategic projects ADRIONCYCLETOUR, KRAS-CARSO II and POSEIDONE, which, after months of close cooperation, presented for the first time an innovative jointly developed cross-border tourism product that brings together the different project potentials.
Also noteworthy was the presence of the EGTC GO, which presented the results of the Small Projects Fund (SPF) financed by the Programme, also with a view to promoting Gorizia and Nova Gorica as European Cities of Culture.
