On Thursday, August 28th, we had the opportunity to visit the breeding facility at the Aquarium of Ariis in Rivignano — a place where nature and research come together to protect the biodiversity of our rivers 🏞️
During the visit, participants got to know the native white-clawed crayfish (Austropotamobius pallipes), a true guardian of the health of our aquatic ecosystems 💧.
Through passionate explanations and hands-on demonstrations, they learned about the complex processes of breeding, reproduction, and reintroduction of this endangered species — essential work in the fight against biodiversity loss and the spread of invasive species 🌊
It was an educational and engaging experience that allowed everyone to appreciate the importance of scientific research and daily commitment to nature conservation.
💚 Together, we can protect the silent guardians of our waterways and build a future where the life of our rivers continues to flow clear and full of vitality!
