On the morning of Tuesday, June 17, an information meeting was held at the Vallevecchia farm in Brussa di Caorle (VE), as part of the Bee2gether project under Activity 2.4. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Veneto Region and the beekeepers’ association APAT, along with the President of the Regional Beekeepers’ Association of Veneto. The event served to present the final version of the web application developed within the project and to discuss the opportunities for its use after the project ends.
In the afternoon, one of the four electronic beehives installed at the farm and part of the Bee2gether monitoring network was visited by a delegation from the Interreg IPA Adrion project ECOBASE (which involves nine entities among universities, institutions, and research centers from seven different countries in the Balkan area) and by about one hundred participants of the seminar organized on June 17–18 in Mestre (VE) by EU CAP Network “On-farm demonstrations for peer-to-peer learning & innovation”. The first day of the seminar included a visit to the pilot and demonstration farm Vallevecchia. Dr. Alessandro Zorer from Melixa srl, speaker of the morning session, explained how the equipment works and its usefulness for remote hive management as well as for monitoring environmental health.
