As part of the Interreg Italy-Slovenia IRRIGAVIT project, the first two experimental wine tastings were held. The first took place on March 19, 2024, at the Tasting Academy in Villa Nachini Cabassi in Corno di Rosazzo (Italy), involving 19 participants including oenologists, producers, and project partners. Wines from the 2022 Pinot Grigio vintage were tasted, with a sensory evaluation sheet prepared by Prof. Paolo Sivilotti from the University of Udine.
The second tasting took place on April 25, 2024, in Dornberk (Slovenia) during the "Vipava Valley Winegrowers Consortium" meeting. This time, 9 winegrowers tasted 6 Merlot wines produced in vineyards where water stress trials were conducted. The next evaluations are scheduled for 2025, featuring wines from new experimental areas.
