13th KAŠTellieri Project Partners’ Meeting

On 9 September 2026, the KAŠTellieri project partners met again at the Visitor Centre of the Val Rosandra Nature Reserve, where the thirteenth partners’ meeting took place.

The meeting was particularly important as the project is entering its final phase. Partners reviewed the many activities carried out so far and the results achieved through cross-border cooperation. At the same time, they coordinated the final activities and events that will take place over the coming months.

Although the project is approaching its conclusion, the journey is far from over. A number of exciting activities and new tools are still ahead, aimed at the valorisation and promotion of the hillfort heritage.

Upcoming activities include:

• the presentation of new five-star tourism products and experiences;
• a digital guide featuring the AVIKO avatar;
• the development of a Toolkit for hillfort site managers;
• new brochures and communication materials;
• Hillfort Day, which will take place in Dolina in December;
• and, to conclude the project, the final project event in Venice.
  
   

KAŠTellieri is therefore continuing its cross-border journey, built on cooperation, knowledge exchange and the joint exploration of new opportunities.

The common goal remains clear: to valorise the archaeological heritage of the hillforts, bring it closer to a wider audience and develop it as an accessible and recognisable cultural and tourism resource that can contribute to creating new opportunities for the territories between Italy and Slovenia.
