On 21 September 2026, the first I-SEA DAY event will take place in Piran, Slovenia. The event, organised bz the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme in the frame of Interreg Cooperation Day 2026, will involve the students who ranked second and third in the second edition of Students4Cooperation, the competition organised by the Programme to introduce upper secondary school students to European Territorial Cooperation and Interreg.
As part of their prize, the students will participate in a study visit dedicated to the maritime and cultural heritage of the cross-border area. The programme will include a visit to the Sergej Mašera Maritime Museum in Piran, partner of the MARE SUPERUM project, where participants will learn more about the region’s rich maritime history and traditions, followed by a guided tour of Piran’s historic town centre.
The afternoon will continue with a visit to Tartini House, which is linked to the TARTINI BIS project funded by the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme. The visit will provide students with a concrete example of how cross-border cooperation contributes to preserving and promoting the shared cultural heritage of Slovenia and Italy.
