As part of the BEroots project, VeGAL is organising ‘Music in the Cellar’, a musical journey through genres amidst the vineyards of Eastern Venice, a way of bringing the territory and the wineries to life thanks to the notes of great artists from the area. The three scheduled appointments, each representing a different musical genre, are an opportunity to introduce local farms through quality experiences in unconventional locations.
The festival closes on Friday 27 June at 7.30 p.m. at the winery La Caneva di Giancarlo in Ceggia (VE) with a look at the younger target audience with Voci Sparse, a musical format promoted by the Argo16 association with the aim of giving space to new local songwriting, interpreted in a non-traditional way, but as an idea of writing that starts from the voice and the word.
There will be three guests for the evening: the headliner is Iako, a Venetian musician born in 1995, already seen at X Factor and recently on Mace's album featuring Rkomi and Bresh in the song “Nuovo me”. First the Cuerdas, an international ensemble formed by David Beltran, Mario Cardone and Jorge Scarano, will perform a repertoire of Andean and South American music, and Niccolò Martin, a pianist from Treviso with a naïve touch, who tries his hand at writing songs in an evocative style steeped in provincial nostalgia. Opening and closing sets will be the disco funk DJ sets of the Venetian Super Saor and Edwarth (Shape).
The evening will be accompanied by live painting on barrels by illustrator Caterina Favaro, and the event enjoys the patronage of the Municipality of Ceggia (VE).
The concert is completely free of charge with booking at the following link: Voci Sparse con Iako, Cuerdas, Nicolò Martin + Edwarth e Super Saor dj set Tickets, Fri, Jun 27, 2025 at 7:30 PM | Eventbrite.
For all three evenings, bilingualism in Italian and Slovenian can be provided, if requested.
