As part of the BEroots project, we are organizing the photography exhibition Small Moments, which through the sensitive eye of photographer Nikol Frandolič reveals the beauty and fragility of the natural world between rivers, lagoons, and karst landscapes. The artist is dedicated to nature photography, capturing with remarkable sensitivity the wildlife and unique ecosystems of our region.
The exhibition is enriched with selected verses by Franjo Rojc (1914–1994), a poet and artist from Peci, whose work is deeply marked by themes of homeland, identity, and belonging. His work was also included in the brochure dedicated to lesser-known artists, created within the project BEroots: Between Rivers and Lagoons – Artistic Routes.
The exhibition opening will take place on Thursday, 21 May 2026, at 8:00 PM in San Michele del Carso. The evening will be enhanced by musical performances from the girls’ vocal group Kapljice (dir. Tina Balta) and the Vocal Group of Glasbena matica (dir. Martina Feri). A social gathering will follow after the cultural program.
The photography exhibition Small Moments will remain open to visitors until 7 June 2026.
