September 2025 was an intense month for the ALL-MICRO community, with a series of events that showcased the role of advanced microscopy in science, industry, and society.
8–12 September — Portorož, Slovenia
ALL-MICRO took part in the 17th Multinational Congress on Microscopy (17MCM), the key international gathering for the microscopy community. A special highlight was the IMPRESS session “Shaping the Future of Interoperable TEM”, which addressed new challenges and opportunities for transmission electron microscopy. The congress provided excellent opportunities for networking and collaboration with researchers, companies, and stakeholders from across Europe.
24 September — Udine, Italy
As part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of TEC4I, ALL-MICRO co-organised the mirror event of “Microscopy as an Opportunity for Technological Innovation”. The meeting brought together Italian companies, researchers, and startups, with demonstrations and case studies that highlighted the impact of microscopy on industrial innovation. This followed the first edition of the event held in Nova Gorica on 29 May 2025.
27 September — Trieste, Italy
At Trieste NEXT 2025, ALL-MICRO hosted the event “Advanced Microscopy Across Borders” at Sala Biasutti. Researchers and representatives from Italy and Slovenia discussed the future of advanced microscopy and the importance of cross-border collaboration. The session featured contributions from Behnaz Abbasgholi (IOM-CNR, Trieste), Mattia Fanetti (University of Nova Gorica), Dragan Mihailović, Paulina Piotrowicz (TEC4I FVG), and was moderated by Gabriele Baj (University of Trieste / ALL-MICRO Coordinator).
Looking back
These events confirmed the vitality and dynamism of the ALL-MICRO network, reinforcing its mission to bridge scientific communities, industry, and citizens, and to position advanced microscopy as a driver of growth and innovation across borders.
