The event takes place within the framework of the Interreg Italy-Slovenia BeBlue project and aims to promote aquaponics technology, encouraging dialogue between experts and stakeholders in order to optimise it and introduce it to the market. Central topics will include the acceptance of aquaponic products by large-scale retailers and consumers, and the potential for development in the niche and quality product segment. The afternoon session is organised in collaboration with the iNEST RT 1.2, Spoke 7 ‘Smart Agrifood’ project of the INEST project, entitled ‘Twin Transition on Agri-food Business Models and Value Chains’, which focuses on initiatives to support agribusiness in the green and digital transition. The Agrifood Management and Innovation Lab will hold a meeting between researchers and consumers on the topic: ‘What do I put on my plate? Blue food and consumer choices' During the event, it will be possible to visit the aquaponics plant at the Department until 17:00. Participation in the event is free of charge.
