On 17 December 2025 at 3:00 PM, the regional headquarters of Friuli Venezia Giulia, located in Via Sabbadini 31 in Udine, will host the award ceremony of the Premio Wigwam Stampa Italiana, an initiative carried out within the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia WABIN project.
The event celebrates the talent of young people under 25 who took part in the two literary contests dedicated to the theme of water: “La cultura del fosso” and “Acqua da bere, acqua per lavorare, acqua da vivere”, submitting texts that narrate the relationship between communities and water resources across the project territories.

The programme includes institutional remarks by Stefano Zannier, Regional Councillor for Agri-food, Forestry and Fish Resources, along with contributions from experts in journalism, research, and innovation. The ceremony will conclude with the presentation of awards and special mentions to the winners.

The event is part of the WABIN project’s dissemination activities targeting young audiences, with the aim of fostering greater awareness of the role of natural and infrastructural water bodies — from drinking and irrigation water to hydroelectric and navigable systems — in the cross-border territories between Italy and Slovenia.
The ceremony will take place in Italian and Slovene, with simultaneous interpreting provided.
