On the occasion of the International Day for Biological Diversity, which is celebrated every year on May 22 and in 2025 will be held under the slogan "Harmony with Nature and Sustainable Development", we kindly invite you to a professional event entitled: Faces of Nature: Diversity of Life through Different Perspectives. The event will take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 12:00, at the Center for Humanities of the Science and research Centre Koper. The event will be attended by Prof. Dr. Maja RAVNIKAR, Director of the National Institute of Biology, and Prof. Dr. Boris KRYŠTUFEK, Museum Councilor at the Natural History Museum of Slovenia and Scientific Councilor at ZRS Koper, who will present a scientific monograph entitled True Hamsters (subfamily Cricetinae) of the Palearctic Region as part of the event. The event will be implemented as part of the POSEIDONE project - Promotion of green and blue infrastructure for a new environment, which is implemented within the framework of the Interreg Italy - Slovenia program and is intended to spread awareness about the importance of nature conservation for sustainable development.
