The Institute for tourism TRG Vipava will organize several events this year as part of the BEroots – Between Rivers and Lagoons: Artistic routes project, which promotes cultural cooperation and sustainable tourism in the cross-border area between Slovenia and Italy.

The first event of the year will take place on Saturday, 28 March 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Cultural Centre in Podnanos, where the theatre group of the Cultural Association Sovodnje from the Italian project area will perform. They will present the comedy Kakšni smo… »Drugačni«, which humorously portrays a group of very different people who meet in a waiting room and, through their interactions, discover that despite their differences they can find common ground.

This year, the theatre group of the Cultural Association Sovodnje celebrates its tenth anniversary, carrying forward the rich theatrical tradition of Savogna d'Isonzo. The group mainly focuses on comedies and performs both among the Slovene minority in Italy.

The BEroots project is co-financed by the European Union within the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia Programme. The project started on 15 April 2024 and will run until 14 October 2026. The partnership consists of six partners: the Municipality of Vipava as the lead partner, the Municipality of Savogna d'Isonzo, the Institue for tourism TRG Vipava, SDGZ-URES Slovene Regional Economic Association, VEGAL, and the Ajdovščina Adult Education Centre. The project focuses on developing sustainable tourism, connecting communities on both sides of the border, and promoting lesser-known areas and artists.
