On Friday, 26 September 2025, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, the European project WABIN – Interreg Italy-Slovenia will take part in SHARPER – Researchers’ Night, the major European event dedicated to science and research that brings life to more than 460 cities across Europe every year.

Under the arcades of the Town Hall of Trieste, in Piazza Unità d’Italia, WABIN will be featured in the Street Science initiative, promoted by SiS FVG – Scientific and Innovation System of Friuli Venezia Giulia, together with the Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico and the OGS – National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics.

Street Science is an open-air laboratory: short “street” talks, simple and engaging, that bring science closer to people. Scientists and researchers from local research centres will share discoveries, insights, and results spanning across different disciplines and fields.

As part of this format, WABIN will present a dedicated talk entitled:
“Ecosystems and Sustainability – Integrated Management of Transboundary Water Resources”.

An opportunity to reflect on the value of water as a common good and strategic resource, and to understand how cross-border research between Italy and Slovenia addresses the challenges of shared water basin management, ecosystem protection, and climate change adaptation.

👉 All Researchers’ Night events are free of charge.
